Friends of Race Against Dementia was founded to raise funds in support of dementia research and is recognized as a 501(c)(3) Public Charity.

We make grants to Race Against Dementia, a charity registered in England, Wales and Scotland which was founded by three times Formula 1 World Champion, Sir Jackie Stewart.

Race Against Dementia is a charity inspired by the speed and innovation of Formula 1. They fundraise to support and fund dementia research across the world.

They select dynamic and driven dementia researchers and equip them with funds, expert mentors and a unique F1 inspired training and development programme to help them accelerate dementia research.

Every donation to Friends of Race Against Dementia propels us forward, helping to fund critical dementia research. Together we will strive to live in a world with preventions and cures for dementia.

Dementia impacts memory, thinking and behaviour and includes several types of cognitive decline, such as Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, vascular dementia and Lewy body dementia.

President

Warren is currently the Chief Medical Officer of HealthCare Royalty, following a 40+ year career in drug development and operations of multiple pharmaceutical businesses.

Professor Ian Hay

Treasurer

Ian is an Emeritus Professor of Medicine who has now worked at the Mayo Clinic for 44 years. He still pursues cancer research studies but increasingly enjoys attending motorsport events, playing golf and spending time in Scotland.

Dr Adrian Reynard

Secretary

Adrian is a U.K. Chartered Engineer. He founded an international racing car company whose cars won the Indy 500 twice and dominated the ChampCar series. He remains active in furthering education and racing his cars and recently flew in space.
